I am a UKCP accredited and BACP registered psychotherapist working with adults face-to-face and online. I originally trained as a psychosynthesis counsellor and psychotherapist. Psychosynthesis is an integrative approach which draws on a variety of theories and techniques and emphasises the spiritual nature of human beings.
Towards the end of my psychotherapy training, I was introduced to an exciting evidence-based approach called Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) which completely transformed my ideas on how I could help people with the problems they brought to therapy. I was drawn to the clarity and specificity of this model. ISTDP is more active, focused and dynamic than traditional methods, with the therapist making observations in the moment and helping the client clearly work towards their goals whilst still working with the unconscious conflicts which cause a person’s suffering. Since first discovering ISTDP, I have been involved in further study of this model and now I largely practise using this approach.
I work with people from diverse and varied backgrounds, with a commitment to providing psychotherapy and counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I offer both short and long-term therapy, tailored to meet your needs.
